Club History

Welcome to the proud history of Penn & Tylers Green Football Club – a community-driven club with roots stretching back over a century. From humble beginnings on the village common to becoming one of Buckinghamshire’s most respected football clubs, PTGFC has built its reputation on passion, teamwork, and local spirit.

Bringing People Together, On and Off the Pitch

Formally established in 1905, Penn & Tylers Green FC achieved its first major success in 1911/12, winning the Wycombe League under captain George Slade. The club’s home ground, French School Meadow, takes its name from an 18th-century school for orphans of the French Revolution – its blue and white uniforms inspiring the club’s colours and crest.

Our History

Over the years, the club has grown into one of Buckinghamshire’s oldest and largest village sides, with 600+ players across the junior section, men’s, and women’s teams. Its facilities, including the Clubhouse & Cafe and scenic grounds overlooking the Chilterns, serve as a vibrant community hub hosting football, events, a grassroots tournament and Party on the Pitch.
