PENN & Tylers Green Ladies FC will now officially be known as Penn & Tylers Green Women FC at a time of exciting change

PENN & Tylers Green exited the Combined Counties League Division One Cup at the semi-final stage following a 3-1 defeat to Holmer Green at French School Meadow.
After lifting the league title 10 days earlier to seal a first-ever promotion to Step 5, a much-changed Penn side – largely owing to injury – were unable to secure the win they needed to reach the final.
Near-neighbours Holmer Green deserved their win on the night and took the lead though Oliver Saunders’ sixth-minute strike.
The home side were on terms ahead of half-time, though, with top scorer Lennon Moore striking on 36 minutes.
Penn couldn’t seize on that moment in the second half, however.
Joshua Peck restored Holmer’s advantage on 56 minutes, before the visitors confirmed their place in the final through Saunders’ second effort on 76 minutes.
Defeat at the end of a truly-incredible season for Penn, who can now well and truly look forward to Step 5 football next year.
