Unbeaten run finally ended
PENN & Tylers Green’s 22-game unbeaten league run was ended by Hilltop on Tuesday night, following a 4-2 defeat at French School Meadow.
On an evening when Penn struggled to get going in the main, Kyle Dawes brought the home side level on 16 minutes following Nadeer Kahssay’s fifth-minute opener.
Hilltop led once more just a minute later, through Rayyan Adam, before being pegged back for a second time by Kajtek Halatyn on 32 minutes.
The night belonged to the visitors, though.
Nadeer Kahssay’s 79th-minute goal dealt Penn a big blow as they pushed forward to find a winning goal – and Hilltop made sure of their victory through Ibrahim Benabbas in the 94th minute.
Penn travel to take on Ascot United in the Preliminary Round of the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday.
