Ladies hit Tilehurst for seven
PENN & Tylers Green Ladies showed no signs of letting their season fizzle out after thumping Tilehurst Panthers for seve

AN EARLY own goal was enough to take victory at Molesey on Saturday and keep Penn & Tylers Green’s title charge on track in Combined Counties League Division One.
Indeed, Chris Ellis’ rocket-launcher long throw proved too hot for home goalkeeper Damien Cech to handle on 17 minutes.
It was an otherwise hard-fought game in which Penn had stand-in goalkeeper Oliver Burger-Williams to thank for saving a second-half penalty.
That stop proved pivotal as Penn hung on for all three points, against a Molesey side who were also reduced to 10 men after half-time.
“That was our fourth match in seven days and it was another hard-fought win,” said joint-manager Gio Sepede.
“We knew Molesey would make it difficult for us and that’s how it played out.
“We got the goal and discussed at half-time about managing the game.
“Again, Molesey made it difficult for us but we got the three points and they are very welcome indeed.”
Penn travel to Brook House on Tuesday knowing victory would take us top of the table.
