Penn go seven unbeaten

PENN & Tylers Green were comfortable winners over Molesey on Saturday.

Substitute Kajtek Halatyn was at the double – adding to Felix Prudden’s early opener to stretch our recent unbeaten run to seven matches.

Prudden opened the scoring after just five minutes before unfortunately limping off injured just nine minutes later.

His replacement, Halatyn, proved more than an able deputy, though.

The striker doubled Penn’s advantage in the 56th minute – then put the game firmly to bed a minute from time after Fabian Driffill capitalised on a defensive mistake.

Assistant boss Christian Williams said: “It was a tough game in tough conditions.

“We wanted to get on the front foot and impose ourselves early – and we did just that.

“All of the team put a shift in and it was great for Kajtek to get his goals. Both his goals were superb finishes.

“We’ve got a good squad full of quality – I think we’re moving in the right direction.”

The men’s first team return to action at Holmer Green on Tuesday evening.
