PENN & Tylers Green Ladies slipped to a narrow league defeat on Sunday – beaten 1-0 by their Slough Town counterparts at French School Meadow.
In a game where both teams finished with 10 players following an off-the-ball incident involving Ellie Lovelock on 61 minutes – videos replays show she was harshly dismissed – Penn dominated for large spells but were undone by a goal very shortly before half-time.
Daisy Skinner eventually struck in the 43rd minute for Slough following Emma Green’s initial corner.
Penn upped the ante after half-time and, in the end, struck the woodwork on three separate occasions as Dan Gray’s side laid siege to the Slough goal.
The visitors produced a resilient defensive performance to come away with all three points, however, with the focus now switching to Wednesday’s home Combined Counties League Cup tie versus QPR Development.
Penn: Tobin, Misselbrook, Wyncoll, Harnby, Helmer, Troth, Brockwell, Empson, Read, Lovelock, Woodward.
Subs: Baden, Woods, Cattell, Scott-Green, Southby.
