Five-goal thriller ends in defeat
PENN & Tylers Green were edged out by the odd goal following a five-goal thriller at French School Meadow on Bank Holiday Monday.
In a game that saw Penn end proceedings with 10 men following Matt Roberts’ second-half dismissal for two yellow cards, Broadfields opened the scoring through David Levy on nine minutes.
Penn roared back, though, with Jeffrey Fordjour’s double (56 and 69) giving us the lead for the first time.
Unfortunately, following Roberts’ subsequent dismissal, Penn were unable to protect that lead against last season’s beaten play-off outfit.
Levy put Broadfields on terms on 76 minutes, prior to Dillon Gordon earning the visitors all three points seven minutes later.
Our league campaign continues at North Greenford United on Saturday.
