Penn draw Bedfont battle

PENN & Tylers Green had to settle for a point in our latest top-of-the-table clash on Saturday, this time against league leaders Bedfont.

Charlie Losasso’s penalty put Penn in front from the penalty spot on 20 minutes, after Jeffrey Fordjour’s run was unfairly halted in the box.

Bedfont battled back to earn a point, however, with Andre Smith netting a 52nd-minute reply at The Orchard.

Joint-manager Gio Sepede said: “It was a tough game – they are a top side with top players who score a lot of goals.

“We knew it was going to be difficult and that we had to do the basics well. We did really well in the first half and got in front. We were fairly comfortable.

“But we got deeper in the second half and conceded the goal. That was disappointing, but overall the result was about right.

“We’ll move on very quickly and look forward to Tuesday’s game.”
